Kentucky Dairy Goat Association Board of Directors

Emily Sixbey- President
Emily is the owner of Salt River Run in Harrodsburg, KY and has been an ADGA member since 2020. What began with two pet wethers grew into a performance-focused herd of Nigerian Dwarfs participating in Linear Appraisal, DHIR milk testing, and ADGA-sanctioned shows. Emily helped found KYDGA to bring more show opportunities to Kentucky and to create a supportive, connected community for both new and experienced breeders. Her goals include expanding local ADGA shows, offering educational clinics, and developing youth-focused programs that promote the dairy goat across the Bluegrass.

Shelli Wright- Vice President
Shelli runs Heaven Sent Farm in Harrodsburg, KY and has been involved with dairy goats for over 15 years. After stepping away from horses, she found her passion in raising LaManchas, Saanens, Toggenburgs, and Recorded Grades. Shelli helped establish KYDGA to give Kentucky breeders more local show options and greater visibility within the dairy goat community. Her goals include bringing consistent ADGA-sanctioned shows to the state and offering educational clinics to support breeders at every level.

Katie Jackson, DVM- Secretary/Treasurer
Katie operates White Rock Farm in Salvisa, KY and has been involved with dairy goats since 2000. She is an ADGA-licensed judge and a large animal veterinarian, bringing extensive experience to the association. Over the years, she has worked with many breeds but now focuses primarily on Oberhasli and recorded grades. Katie helped found KYDGA after seeing the need for a formal dairy goat organization in Kentucky. Her goals include expanding local show opportunities, making performance programs more accessible, and supporting educational and youth-focused initiatives within the state.
